Everywhere we turn at the moment is red white and blue with a plethora of Coronation memorabilia and decorations donning the streets as well as in our shops.
We don’t want to get left behind, but rather than focusing specifically on Coronation Day and the national Big Help Out campaign to encourage volunteering, we’ve decided in true CTEA form to “do our own thing”! So thanks to King Charles, we are launching 2023 for 2023, an opportunity for you to pledge your time throughout 2023, with the aim of reaching the grand total of 2023 volunteering hours donated from our incredible volunteer army.
Our campaign, 2023 for 2023 launches on Friday 5th May at the Carlton Colville Community Cuppa – and we would love to see you there! We’ll be bringing together members of the community for singing, dancing, free books, ‘Young & Old Selfies’, crowns…and lots of cake and fruit! We are very pleased and appreciative to the Central England Coop and Get Suffolk Reading (part of the National Literacy Scheme) for their support with this event.
Why not do something unique for the King’s Coronation, lend a hand, help out – however big or small – you really can make a difference to your community! We couldn’t do the great work we do do, without volunteers – so whether you already volunteer for us, or for someone else, or perhaps you’ve thought about it and never got around to it….then 2023 is the time. Check out our volunteer opportunities on our website, or give us a call on 01449 707030 and chat to one of our team – many of whom are volunteers themselves.
