Does the “digital world” confuse you? Would you like to gain skills, self-confidence to be more independent in managing your health, wellbeing and reducing digital isolation by accessing services online, making appointments, shopping, staying connected with family and friends, or just internet browsing. We can support you using a mobile phone, tablet, or laptop, why not come along to one of our Digital sessions currently running monthly in Stowmarket, Ipswich, Woodbridge and Long Melford. One of our Digital Champion volunteers will support you using your device effectively and safely in a friendly, non-judgemental space, all with light refreshments and friendly conversation!
Our two community digital projects ensure that people have the skills and knowledge to use digital technology to support their daily lives if they chose.
– In partnership with the organisation Realise Futures we offer six week “Tablet Course” training sessions, these are delivered in locations across the county. Learning the basic functions of a tablet, right from the start of how to turn on the device, emailing, browsing the internet, taking photos, learning about files and storage, and importantly how to stay connected with family and friends.
– We also run digital sessions monthly at our Digital Workshops in community spaces across the county where we can support individuals who may have a question or problem with a digital device, and would like to have some support from one of our Digital Champion volunteers. All with light refreshments and friendly conversation!
